On October 1, 2025, ChildFund Timor-Leste and the Associação Juventude Hakbi’it Justisa Timor-Leste (AJHJ-TL) have officially signed a small grant agreement under Swipe Safe Online Safety Program. This partnership aims to strengthen the child protection system for children and young people in Timor Leste.
This agreement was signed by Ms. Alzira dos Reis (Country Director, CFTL) and Mr. Zefreus L. S. Ricardo (President of AJHJ-TL) at the Childfund Timor-Leste Office in Dili. This collaboration will focus on Strengthening child protection systems in Timor-Leste by addressing Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) through integration into existing training modules, including the national education curriculum and child online protection system. It will also involve training frontline workers and justice officials; supporting parents with online safety in parenting programs; and integrating online safety into broader child protection initiatives.
